Tea seller gets GPA-5

There is a small tea shop in the Ba’u bazar area next to the Brahmanbaria Railway Station.Where Bishal mia helped his father from afternoon to deep night.And he got GPA-5 in PEC examination.

He attended the PEC examination from Sahara Gafur Government Primary School at Brahmanbaria.Many people were surprised by this type of result.His School are also proud of him.

His father Liaquat Mia said, ‘Our village home is in arisidha village at Ashuganj upazila.We live in Morail area of ​​Brahmanbaria municipality.I have a Family with wife,two sons and a daughter.

Family expenses including the cost of education for the three children are paid out from the sale of tea.

He further said , Evan Mia,the eldest son, of mine is a student of Brahmanbaria Polytechnic Institute. Daughter Tarin Akhter is a seventh grade student at Brahmanbaria High School.

Bishal Mia said , ‘His mother Kulsom Begum encouraged more about going to school. In addition, all the teachers of the school also encouraged and assisted of him.

He added , ‘He has been co-operating with his father almost four years. They sell tea in their shops till 11 pm’.

He does all work including bringing goods from the store, making tea, keeping money from the customers.He is quite happy to get the result.

Bishal’s PEC result in each of the six subjects are 85 in Bangla, 87 in English, 80 in Mathematics, 90 in Sociology, 91 in General Science and 96 in Religion.

In this regard Golam Mohiuddin Khan, chairman of the management committee of Shahera Gafur Government Primary School said, ‘The son is very talented and hardworking.The boy has come so far through working hard.Poverty could not hold him back’.
