TCB products start selling from today: There will be 4 trucks in the district city.On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, the government will sell the essential commodities through the TCB at the government-fixed prices on Wednesday, April 01.
Starting April 01, the program will continue until May 20. The information was revealed in a news release sent by the company.
According to the TCB’s notification, TCB products will be sold in trucks 50 places in the capital, 16 places in Chittagong, 10 places in Divisional City and 4 placesi in District City on the occasion of Ramadan.
Humayun Kabir, a spokesman for the TCB, said: ‘The lentils, sugar and soybean oil will be sold in the truck by our dealers.’
‘Onions have been sold for a long time, but now the price of the product has been stopped due to the price drop,” he said. If the price goes up again, the onion will be provided. Apart from this, raisins and dates may be sold before Ramadan.
Each truck will be provided with 1000-1500 kg sugar, 200-300 kg lentils and 1500-2000 liters of soybean oil. From these trucks, a buyer will be able to buy maximum of 5 litre soyabin oil at the rate of Tk.80, maximum of 4 kg of sugar at the rate of Tk. 50 a day, maximum of 2 kg of lentil pulses at a rate of Tk. 50.
