The Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of thunderstorm over eight regions of the country today. River ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.
This information has been given in the forecast of the inland river port of the country from 5:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday (September 02).
According to the forecast, Khulna, Madaripur, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram and Cox’s Bazar areas may experience temporary gusts of wind with rain or thunderstorms at speeds of 45 to 60 kmph from the south or south-east. River ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.
Meanwhile, the forecast for Dhaka and adjoining areas from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm said that the sky may be partly cloudy to temporarily cloudy. The weather can be mainly almost dry. There is a possibility of light rain or thunderstorms. The wind may blow from the south-east or south at a speed of 8 to 15 kmph. Daytime temperatures can rise by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius.
