Train tickets are available at the counter from today (September 12) after being closed for five and a half months due to the Corona situation. In addition to commuter-mail-local trains, intercity train tickets are also available at the counter.
It is known that 50 percent of the total seats in each train were being sold online. From today, half of these 50 percent tickets, i.e. 25 percent of the total number of seats, are being sold through the counter. The remaining half can be issued on mobile apps, online and mobile.
Earlier on Monday (September 07) Bangladesh Railway Deputy Director (TC) said, A notification signed by Nasir Hasan Khan was issued in this regard.
According to the notification, 50 percent of the total seats sold under the current rules in a particular category in favor of a station will be issued through counters, mobile apps and online only if the number is more than six. If the number of tickets is not more than six, it should be issued only through mobile app and online.
This new rule of ticket sales is effective from today. In this case, other rules for issuing tickets will remain unchanged.
