Passenger Launche Ready For Isolation Center

Minister of Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury said, ‘Passenger launche ready for Isolation Center.
Passenger launches have been set up to be ‘isolation centers’, following medical treatment to prevent and combat coronavirus infection. Launch owners have been given consent in this regard. The necessary steps will be taken after talking to the Health Ministry.’

Minister of Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury spoke at a meeting with the launch owners at Dhaka Sadarghat on Saturday, April 04 to prevent corona infection.

Khalid Mahmood Chowdhury said, ‘If the isolation center’ is launched at the launches, it will be very important if the coronavirus is infected in coastal areas where treatment for coronavirus is not reached.

In this regard, steps will be taken to secure the launch. Because of the immediate decision, the launches are spread out in various places. Talking to the cabinet department, the decision will be taken on how to bring the launches to a safe place.’

The Minister said, “We are on the side of the sailors. Until the passage of the Coronavirus-related crisis, navigators will be assisted from the side. The government will also look into the issue of launch owners.”

Later, the state minister distributed 200 packets of food items among the Ghat workers in Sadarghat.

Shipping Secretary Mohammad Mezbah Uddin Chowdhury, Director General of the Department of Shipping Commodore Syed Ariful Islam, BIWTA Chairman Commodore Golam Sadek, Inland Navy (Passenger Transport), Chairman of the organization, Ludh Akhmad Shah, chairman of the Inland Navy (passenger transport) were also present during the meeting.
