Two teachers arrested in Hajiganj kidnapping case: Student rescued.Police have recovered two persons arrested and abducted SSC examiner, including teacher Sharif Hossain, in the kidnapping case discussed in Hajiganj upazila of Chandpur.
Police arrested them on Wednesday morning, March 11, following a raid in Dhaka and Comilla.
The arrested are Sharif Hossain, a teacher of Hajiganj Pilot Girls High School and his brother-in-law Monir Hossain(32).
The abducted SSC examiner is Ritika Saha, daughter of Tapan Saha of Hajiganj Municipality. He gave SSC examination this year but did not give practical test. He did not return home from the test center on February 23 last.
The accused’s uncle filed an abduction case with Hajiganj police station on February 23 last. From then on, the police began searching the teachers and students in the wild.
Hajiganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge Alamgir Hossain Rony said the detainees will be produced in Chandpur court on Thursday. At that time, the rescuers will also be produced in court.
