Number 3 Warning Signal At Seaport

Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra seaports have been asked to display local warning signal number 3. Fishing boats and trawlers stationed in the North Bay have been asked to proceed cautiously from near the coast until further notice. Besides, they have been asked not to roam in the deep sea.

The Meteorological Department has given such a forecast in the maritime warning on Thursday morning, June 11.

The warning said that a light pressure is prevailing in the east-central Bay of Bengal and the adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal. As a result, deep moving clouds are forming in the North Bay and adjoining areas and there is an excess of variability in air pressure. Winds can blow over the North Bay, coastal areas of Bangladesh and seaports.

In this regard, the forecast for Dhaka and adjoining areas from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm today said that the sky may be partly cloudy to partly cloudy. There is a possibility of rain with light to moderate thunderstorms. The wind can blow from the south / south-east at a speed of 8 to 12 kmph, which can increase to 30 to 40 kmph. Daytime temperatures can drop by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius.
