Whip Swapon of the National Assembly was injured in a road accident.On the way from Rajshahi to Joypurhat, the Whip of the Jatiya Sangsad was injured in a road accident in Manda Upazila of Naogaon.
The accident took place at Ferighat on the Rajshahi-Naogaon highway in the Upazila on Thursday morning.
Whip Abu Saeed Al Mahmud Swapan wants to add the word ‘Hazrat’ (Hazrat Sheikh Hasina) before honoring Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s name.
Deputy Speaker said Monday night. Whip Swapn said this while participating in a discussion on the proposal of thanks for the President’s speech in the Parliament session chaired by Fazle Rabbi Miah.
Manda Police Station Officer-in-Charge (MoC) Mozaffar Hossain confirmed the accident. He said Whip Swapan was rescued and was being treated at Manda Health Complex.
Describing the accident, witnesses said that a whip family was traveling from Rajshahi to Jaipurhat. At that time, there was a vehicle of security forces in front of his car. Light traffic jammed into the road when a tractor suddenly entered. The whip with the tractor pulls into the dream car. Whip Swapan was injured in the right leg. He was later rescued and taken to Upazila Health Complex.
