Production of winter vegetables in Chandpur is 1 lakh MT. Chandpur is one of the major riverine agricultural areas of the country. According to the information received, the cultivation of vegetables in Chandpur this year by 2020-2021 is 875 hectares and the production target is 19,687 MT. Matlab means cultivation in the north is 920 hectares and production target is 20,700 MT, Matlab south cultivation in the south is 330 hectares and production target is 7,425 MT, Hajiganj cultivation is 605 ha and production target is 13,625 MT.
Cultivation in Shahrashti is 395 hectares and production target is 8,887 MT, cultivation in Kachua is 450 hectares and production target is 10,125 MT, cultivation in Faridganj is 790 ha and production target is 17,775 MT. Tonnes, cultivation of Haimchar is 920 hectares and production target is 20,700 MT.
Especially in 11 isolated char areas of Chandpur, this vegetable is widely cultivated by the charwasis. Women play a major role in the production of these vegetables. Men as well as women have been playing a leading role in raising cattle like cows, goats, ducks, chickens etc. in the Meghna Basin and in the char areas.
They work day and night to produce these vegetables. In some areas they have been cultivating vegetables on a large scale commercially. Their main means of livelihood is agriculture, vegetable cultivation and rearing of poultry and poultry.
In Chandpur, after paddy, jute, potato, soybean, onion, garlic, mustard and chilli, there is a place for vegetables. It is quite profitable now. The vegetables produced in Chandpur are shipped to ports in different cities of the country.
Due to favorable climate, transportation facilities, interest of farmers in vegetable cultivation, provision of production technology by agriculture department, improved communication system, availability of agricultural inputs, availability of agricultural inputs, advice of agriculturists on seeds, fertilizers and pesticides, agricultural loans from banks, etc. Is cultivating.

Summer vegetables include Snake gourd, Bitter melon, Okra, vigna sinensis,Pointed gourd, Spiny gourd, Sponge gourd, Luffa, Aubergine, etc.
