According to the district food regulator’s office, the sale of 10 kg rice is continuing in all the unions of Chandpur district.
The activities of selling 10 kg of rice through authorized dealers are continuing.
The Chandpur District Food Controller’s Office said this on Wednesday, October 21 at noon.
According to the information received, 1,594 metric tonnes of rice was allotted to all the unions in Chandpur district in September and it was sold at the rate of Tk. 10 per kg in all the unions.
As many as 1,594 metric tonnes of rice has been re-allocated from October 01 this year.
Which continues to be sold at Tk. 10 per kg. 53,156 families are getting this facility through 123 dealers of the district.
Each family can buy 30 kg of rice.Meanwhile, nutritious food has been provided to Kachua and Matlab North.
District Food Controller Nityananda held a monthly meeting at his office on Wednesday afternoon.
All the Upazila Food Officers and concerned officers were present at the meeting. Food quality, market control, market monitoring, food quality verification etc. were discussed at the meeting.
He also said to have directed the government to oversee the sale of rice at the rate of Tk. 10 per kg.
