22 Policemen Including OC And SI Identified As Corona Infected

Corona of 22 policemen including OC and SI identified in Chandpur: 12 healthy.In the last two months, 22 members of Chandpur district police have been identified. While on duty in different police stations of the district till June 10, they were attacked by Corona. Among them are OC of Haimchar police station, 9 SI, one ASI and a constable.

Among the victims are 8 persons from Sadar police station, 4 persons from Haimchar police station, 2 persons from Kachua police station, 2 persons from Shahrasti police station, one traffic policeman from Sadar, 4 persons from Police Lines and one person on deputation from district police to naval police. Of these, 12 have recovered so far. 10 policemen are undergoing treatment in isolation.

Chandpur Superintendent of Police Mahbubur Rahman said, “We have shared the barracks from the very beginning.”

I divided the district police members into 3 groups. We also rented a hotel. Where there used to be three, now there is one. That’s why we got some protection. Even then, when policemen go out on duty, come in contact with patients, go to funerals – the risk increases.

He said 12 of the victims have recovered. A few more new ones have been added. We have tried to give them proper treatment by keeping them separate.
