22 People Died Including 3 People From Chandpur In Last 24 Hours

22 people died including 3 people from Chandpur in last 24 hours: 1,773 identified.In the last 24 hours, 22 more people have died of coronavirus infection in the country. One thousand and 73 people have been newly identified. So far 408 people have died in Corona in the country. In all, 28 thousand and 511 people have been identified.

Nasima Sultana has been given this information in the official bulletin of the coronavirus situation of the health department on Thursday, 21st May. Additional Director General of the Department of Health took part in the publication of the bulletin.

Dr. Nasima said 22 more people had died in the country in the last 24 hours due to corona infection. They are 19 men and three women. Their range in age two from 11 to 20, one from 31 to 40, two from 41 to 50, 10 from 51 to 60, three from 61 to 70, two from 71 to 80, and two from 81 to 90. So far 406 people have died in Corona in the country.

It was informed that the 22 new people who died were 10 from Dhaka division, eight from Chittagong division, three from Sylhet division and one from Mymensingh division.

Besides, 395 people have recovered in the last 24 hours. So far five thousand and 602 people have recovered.

Dr. Nasima said four new labs have been added to the Corona test in the last 24 hours. These are two in Dhaka and two outside Dhaka. The two new labs outside Dhaka are Rajshahi Medical College Hospital and Shahjalal University of Science and Technology in Sylhet. And the two new labs in Dhaka are Anwar Khan Modern Medical College Hospital and Biomed Diagnostic.

With this, the total number of labs in Corona test is now 47. In the last 24 hours 10,174 samples have been collected in all these labs. 10 thousand and 262 samples have been tested. Of these, 1,773 people have been identified as corona patients. So far, 28,511 corona patients have been identified in the country. And so far two lakh and 14 thousand 114 samples have been tested.

In the context of isolation, it was informed that in the last 24 hours, 154 more people have been taken in new isolation. At the same time, 73 people got relief from isolation. At present there are three thousand and 897 people in isolation. So far, 1,966 people have been exempted from isolation.

According to the bulletin, the total number of isolations in the country, including Dhaka, is 13,284. Besides, 500 isolation beds are being prepared in Mymensingh Medical College Hospital and 200 more in Mymensingh Nursing Dormitory. At present there are 7,250 isolation beds in Dhaka metropolis and 6,034 in different hospitals outside Dhaka city.

Information about quarantine is also given in the bulletin. It is said that in the last 24 hours 4,032 people have come to the home and institutional quarantine. At the same time 2,591 people got exemption from quarantine. And so far a total of two lakh and 55 thousand 534 people have gone to quarantine. And so far two lakh and one thousand 152 people have got exemption from quarantine. After the exemption, there are currently 54,382 people in home and institutional quarantine.

There are 626 institutions ready for institutional quarantine at district and upazila level across the country. According to the bulletin 31,840 people can be served immediately through this.

According to the bulletin, in the last 24 hours, the health window of the health department and the hotline of the IEDCR have received 3,19,842 calls. Health advice has been given to everyone in these calls. So far, 67 lakh and 98 thousand 526 people have been received health advice on the hotline.

In the last 24 hours, the number of newly trained doctors has increased to 31 more. With this, the total number of trained doctors now stands at 16,112. In addition, the number of volunteer doctors has increased to 12 in 24 hours. According to the bulletin 4,206 doctors are currently giving health advice on the hotline as volunteers.
