5 Thousand 151 Expatriates Enter Into Chandpur: 188 In Quarantine

According to the Chandpur District Administration Control Room, 5 thousand 151 persons entered the address of Chandpur through the airport of Dhaka. But the location of most of them has not yet been confirmed.

Meanwhile, 5 migrants have been fined for not quarantining the home quarantine in Chandpur. 1 people were fined Tk. 20,000 in Kachua, 1 people were fined Tk. 20,000 in Faridganj and 1 people were fined Tk. 5,000 in Haimchar , and 2 people were fined Tk. 20,000 in Hajiganj .

Chandpur municipal authorities say the home of overseas returnees has been kept in quarantine in the municipality. The watchdog has been enhanced. Only 10 no. ward of Chandpur municipality are returning home 46 people.

Hajiganj Upazila Executive Officer Baishakhi Barua says those coming from exile have been asked to remain in quarantine in their own charge. Amin Memorial High School and Saptagram Girls High School Quarantine have been earmarked for the upazila. In this upazila, there are 20,284 people living in the expat. Of these, only 559 are in Italy.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) of Chandpur, Mohammad Abdullah Al Mahmud Zaman, said work was underway to prepare the list based on the union level. Quarantine began at Chandpur from February 25 to March 10, keeping 496 migrants from the district in their home quarantine locally.

When asked, Hajiganj Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr ASM Soeb Ahmed Chishti said fever, colds and coughs were more due to seasonal changes. Newly trained doctors are providing services for them in the outpatient department.
District Civil Surgeon Md. Sakhawat Ullah said that until Sunday, 188 people were kept in the total home quarantine in the district.

Corona is not affected in Chandpur. A 100 bed isolation ward is ready in 8 upazilas of the district. On March 19, 300 gloves, 100 one-time mask, 50 gowns were allotted for the doctors nurses in those isolation departments.
