50 hospitals ready in the UK, vaccination will start next week. The United Kingdom is the first country in the world to approve the use of the corona vaccine made by Pfizer and the German company Bioentech. Those most at risk in the country will be vaccinated early next week.
The UK’s regulatory body, MHRA, says the vaccine, which is 95 per cent resistant to coronavirus, is now safe to use. Vaccination will begin at the beginning of next week on the people most at risk.
Sir Simon Stevens, chief executive of Britain’s National Health Service (NHS), said: “We are preparing to launch the largest immunization program in the history of healthcare in the country. There are about 50 hospitals. Vaccination booths are also being set up at various conference centers.
At the beginning of the immunization program, doctors, nurses, health workers, the elderly, ie those over the age of 80 and those at the highest risk of death will be included. The UK has already ordered a dose of 40 million ticks. One crore of these vaccine doses will be delivered to the UK very soon. 6 lakh doses will come on the first day.
Shortly after the vaccine was approved, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said in a tweet that the Covid-19 vaccine would protect our lives and move the country forward economically again.
British Health Secretary Matt Hancock called the MHRA’s decision “good news” and said early next week we would launch a nationwide vaccination campaign against coronavirus.
He told people would go to the NHS after breakfast to get vaccinated. I will confidently spend the next summer happily with family members.
Danny Altman, a professor of immunology at Imperial College London, described the news of the approval as an important moment. He described the approval of an effective tick as a heroic act.
Meanwhile, the US pharmaceutical company Pfizer considers it a victory of science.
Experts say that even after the introduction of the vaccine, people still need to be vigilant and adhere to strict health precautions to prevent the spread of coronavirus. That means still maintaining social distance and using masks. At the same time, the symptoms should be examined and they should be isolated.
So far, the effectiveness of Pfizer and Bioentech vaccines has been tested on the bodies of 43,500 people in six countries and nothing risky has been found. The vaccine uses a completely different method to inject the virus’s genetic code into the body to train the human body’s immune system.
In addition to Pfizer, another US company, Moderna, has already stated that the final test of their invented vaccine has proved to be about 95 percent effective. They have applied to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for approval. The Russian-invented Sputnik vaccine is more than 90 percent effective.
