The Meteorological Department has forecast storms in 17 parts of the country today. The river ports in these areas have been asked to display the number one warning signal.
This information has been given in the forecast of the inland river port of the country till 1:00 pm on Wednesday (August 19).
According to the forecast, it will cover Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogra, Tangail, Dhaka, Faridpur, Madaripur, Kushtia, Jessore, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattagram, Cox’s Bazar and Sylhet from 45 hours per hour from south or south-east. Rain or thunderstorms can blow temporarily at speeds of up to 60 kmph. River ports in these areas have been asked to display the number one warning signal.
Besides, the forecast for Dhaka and adjoining areas from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm said that the sky may be partly cloudy to temporarily cloudy. There may be light rain or thunderstorms. The wind can blow from the south or south-east at a speed of 10 to 15 kilometers per hour. Daytime temperatures may remain almost unchanged.
