Corona of 57 more people was identified in Chandpur. In Chandpur, out of 369 samples, corona of 57 people was identified. The proportion of infected in the sample is 15.44%.
Sources in the Chandpur Civil Surgeon’s Office said on Monday that the new victims included 18 from Chandpur Sadar Upazila, 12 from Hajiganj, two from Faridganj, five from Shahrasti, five from Matlab South, 7 from Kachua, two from Matlab North and six from Haimchar.
On the same day, 174 people were declared corona-free. Of these, 92 are from Chandpur Sadar Upazila, 12 from Faridganj, 27 from Hajiganj, 28 from Matlab South, 1 from Kachua, 4 from Haimchar and 10 from Shahrasti.
The number of people infected with corona in the district has increased to 14,137 with new cases. The death toll is 223. So far 12,482 people have been declared healthy. At present the number of patients undergoing treatment is 1432. Of these, 48 are hospitalized. The rest are in home isolation.
Meanwhile, two people died in the corona isolation ward of Chandpur Sadar Hospital on Monday. They were both suffering from corona symptoms. They are Fatema (80) from Hajipur area of Matlab North and AH Hamid (72) from Chitoshi area of Shahrashti.
