All types of water vessel in country including Chandpur have been stopped. Due to cyclone Yaas, all types of shipping across the country have been declared closed.
The BIWTA made the announcement on Tuesday afternoon, May 25.
Meanwhile, the meteorological office said on Tuesday that cyclone Yaas was moving towards the coast at a speed of 21 kilometers per hour.
It could turn into a super cyclone in the afternoon. Then the wind speed can increase from 185 to 190 kilometers per hour. Cyclone Yaas is just 450 kilometers off the coast.
