2 arrested with 14 kg of cannabis in the Matlab Dakshin Upazila. Police arrested two drug dealers with 14 kg of cannabis from the Dingabhanga area of Matlab Dakshin Upazila in Chandpur on Tuesday afternoon.
The two arrested drug dealers are Mohammad Abu Saeed alias Sagar, 27, son of Mohammad Abul Bashar Mizi of Dakshin Dighaldi village of the municipality, and Mohammad Khorshed Alam Khan, 35, son of AH Mannan Khan of Dingabhanga village of the Upazila.
According to the police, Matlab Dakshin Police Station SI Mohammad Habibur Rahman and ASI Mohammad Chagir Hossain conducted an operation in Dakshin Dingabhanga area of the Upazila on Tuesday, December 21, on the basis of secret information.
At that time, the drug dealers Sagar and Khorshed were spotted on the dirt road in front of Manik’s shop in Eidgaon Bazar of the area. They were later arrested with 14-kg of cannabis.
Officer-in-charge of the police station Mohammad Mohiuddin Mia said there were several cases against them in the police station. Cases have been filed under the Narcotics Control Act and the arrested have been sent to the court.
