In a police raid, 11 people arrested at Matlab

11 people were arrested in the police operation at Matlab. In addition to enforcing strict restrictions announced by the government to prevent corona virus infection, the Matlab South Thana police in Chandpur has continued its operation. Matlab South Thana police are conducting various operations including drugs even after successfully carrying out activities to keep people home and prevent them from leaving their homes unnecessarily.

In the last three days, 11 people, including drug dealers, have been arrested.

Those arrested in three days on the basis of confidential and reliable information are: fugitive Asmai Sumon Patwari (44) of village Ashwinpur, Ujjal Talukder (42) of village Shahpur, Md. Yusuf (38) of village Harion, Fazlul Haque (40) of village Kalikapur. Mohammad Hossain (45) of village Payali, Barun Bandra Das (48), Nazrul Islam Orpe Johnny (37), Mohammad Osman Mia (33) of village Barai village, Harunur Rashid (27) of village Kalikapur, Sumon (22), village West Baishpur The houses of all the accused are in South Upazila.

Besides, Mokhlesur Rahman arrested Jahangir (25) of Dakshin Nagda village with 250 grams of cannabis. Police SI Habibur Rahman, SI Delwar Hossain, SI Awal, SI Sagir and others were present in the operation. Officer-in-charge Mohammad Mohiuddin Mia said . He also told the correspondent that the operation would continue.
