Awami League Candidates may be selected in the afternoon.The Awami League is sitting in a meeting on Sunday (August 30) to select party candidates in the by-elections for the five seats in the upcoming Jatiya Sangsad.
The meeting of the party’s parliamentary nomination board will be held at 4:30 pm at the Prime Minister’s official residence Ganabhaban. Awami League President Sheikh Hasina will preside over it.
Awami League deputy secretary Sayem Khan told that the meeting of the parliamentary nomination board is likely to be limited due to the Corona situation.
It is known that no meeting has been held in the physical presence of Awami League President Sheikh Hasina since the onset of Corona epidemic. Today is the first meeting of Awami League in the presence of Sheikh Hasina after a few months.
