The bus hit and killed the motorcyclist.A motorcyclist named Asif Iqbal Sumon (28) was killed in a bus collision at Bochila area of the capital’s Mohammadpur on Saturday noon. The bus was seized after the accident but the driver and helper escaped, police said.
The accident took place around 12 noon on Saturday. His body was later recovered and sent to the morgue of Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
Mohammadpur police sub-inspector Morshed Alam said Sumon was killed on the spot when he was hit by a passenger bus while riding a motorcycle in front of Bochila Lautla Mumtaz Shopping Complex. His father’s name was Sheikh Ayub Ali. He is known to have been a motorcyclist in Ride Sharing Pathao. The bus was seized after the incident but its driver and helper escaped.
