7 agreements signed between Bangladesh & India

A virtual conference between Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is being held on Thursday, December 17. Earlier, seven memorandums of understanding (MoU) were signed between the two countries. A memorandum of understanding was signed at the state guest house Padma around 9 am on Thursday, December 17. On behalf of India, the country’s High Commissioner in Dhaka Vikram Doraiswamy signed the agreements.

The terms of reference reached between the two countries are Bangladesh-India CEO Forum Term of Reference, Cooperation in Agriculture, Outline on Hydrocarbons, Cooperation on Elephant Conservation, Cooperation between Bangabandhu Memorial Museum and New Delhi Museum, Launch of High Impact Community Development Project Memorandum of Understanding on Agreement on Purchase of Equipment for Development of Management.

Meanwhile, all preparations for the meeting between Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Narendra Modi have been completed. Sheikh Hasina from Ganabhaban and Narendra Modi from Delhi will attend the meeting. After this virtual meeting, train services are being inaugurated on Chilahati route of Bangladesh and Halidabari route of India.

According to Foreign Ministry sources, Bangladesh will discuss peaceful border, trade cooperation, connectivity and other issues.
