The body of a young man was recovered from the river in Hajiganj. A rescue team recovered the body of a missing youth from the river at Hajiganj in Chandpur.
The deceased was identified as A. Karim, 24, son of Daimuddin of Toragarh village in Hajiganj municipal area.
It is known on the spot that the young man named A. karim drowned while taking bath in Dakatiya river on Thursday, May 27 at around 3 pm.

At that time, the locals, including his family members, initially started searching for Karim on both sides of the river.
Upon receiving the news, Hajiganj Fire Service and rescue team carried out rescue work in the river. After trying for about 2 hours at 5 pm. Rescue team was able to rescue Karim’s body.
The idea of the locals was that the young man could not reach the shore while diving in the tide of the river.
Meanwhile, after receiving the news, people of different classes including Municipal Panel Mayor Azad Hossain rushed to inspect the spot.
Thousands of people could be seen on both sides of the river while the entire rescue operation was underway.
