Body Worn camera of Police launched in Chandpur

The body-worn camera has been introduced for district police members in Chandpur.

On Thursday noon, Police superintendent Milon Mahmud gave the camera to 36 policemen working in the Chandpur traffic department.

At the time, he said, the activities of police members at the field level would be monitored through the bodyworn camera. This initiative has been taken to bring transparency and accountability to the work of the police.

He further said that in the first phase, the traffic police members were brought under the purview of this program but it will be used in every unit of the district police in phases.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Finance) Sudipta Roy, Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) Mohammad Moinul Islam, Assistant Superintendent of Police (Matlab Circle) Yasir Arafat, and other senior district police officials were present on the occasion.
