One arrested with 12 kg of cannabis in Chandpur

One arrested with 12 kg of cannabis in Chandpur. District Detective Branch (DB) has arrested a drug dealer named Raihan Jamadar (35).

He was arrested from his home in Shah Mohammadpur Union No. 4 at 10:30 am on Thursday, July 15.

The arrested Raihan is the son of Qutub Uddin of Tower Khil village in Shah Mohammadpur union of Jamadar Sadar upazila.

According to police, DB Sub-Inspector (SI) Palash Barua and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Shahidur Rahman conducted a drug rescue operation at the accused’s house on the basis of secret information. During the search of his house, he was arrested with 12 kg of cannabis.

Chandpur Detective Branch Officer-in-Charge (OC) Tantu Saha said the detainee was sent to jail.
