Matlab South upazila chairman Gias Uddin is no more.The chairman of the South Upazila Parishad and the president of the South Upazila Awami League freedom fighter AHM Gias Uddin is no longer in Chandpur.He died at around 2:45 pm (Inna… razune).
Upazila Executive Officer Fahmida Haque confirmed the death of Upazila Chairman Assistant Riaz and told the Chandpur Times, “He was admitted to the Upazila Health Complex when he became unconscious in the morning. He was later referred to Dhaka after seeing his condition. We arrange to send the ambulance to Dhaka as soon as possible. He breathed his last at 2:45 pm at the Dhaka Square Hospital.
The political personality has long been the acting president of the Upazila Awami League. He was elected president by the Upazila Awami League conference on December 17 last year.
Earlier, he was elected as the chairman of the Upazila Parishad on March 2019, without contesting the boat symbol.
Upon his death, the Upazila administration and local Awami League leaders mourned and expressed condolences to the bereaved family.
