Chance of storm in 17 regions of the country.Rainfall continues in the country due to the influence of monsoon winds. Even today, there is a possibility of storm and rain in 16 regions of the country. River ports in those areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.
The Meteorological Department said this in its forecast for the country’s inland river port from 5:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 18.
It covers 45 hours per hour from south or south-east over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Pabna, Bogra, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Jessore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram and Sylhet. Temporary gusts or gusts of wind with rain or thunderstorms at speeds of up 45 to 60 kmph may occur. River ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.
The weather forecast for Dhaka and adjoining areas from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm said the sky may be temporarily partly cloudy. There may be light rain. The wind can blow from the south or south-east at a speed of 8 to 12 kmph. Daytime temperatures may remain almost unchanged.
