Allocation of 468 MT of rice-405 MT of wheat in Chandpur Municipality.In order to address the Corona situation and lockdown, 468 metric tons of rice and 405 metric tons of wheat have been allocated in 6 municipalities of Chandpur district for the unemployed, helpless and poor people.
The activities will start on July 25. The municipalities are: Kuchua, Matlab, Chhengarchar, Faridganj, Hajiganj and Shaharasti. This activity is already going on in Chandpur Municipality.
District Food Controller Nitya Nanda Kundu said this on July 25.
According to the information received, 468 metric tons of rice and 405 metric tons of wheat have been allocated in 6 municipalities of the district from the district food controller’s office. In each municipality, 4 shop owners have been allowed to sell 5 kg of rice and 5 kg of rice and wheat to one buyer at a time.
District Food Controller Nitya Nanda Kundu said it was officially given so that helpless and poor and jobless people could buy rice and wheat at affordable prices. He said the measure was taken so that the general public could buy rice and wheat in certain shops in case of lockdown.
