Cow theft in Hajiganj, arrested 4. Four members of a cattle thieves’ gang have been arrested in Hajiganj of Chandpur.
Hajiganj police on Monday, July 05, a press briefing Additional Superintendent of Police (Hajiganj Circle) said. Sohail Mahmud and Harunur Rashid, officer-in-charge of the police station, told the whole story.
At that time, they said, the members of the gang of thieves visited different areas by bicycle and entered all the houses where the cows were and determined the location of the cows in the barn.
Later, they left the car on the road side by side and brought some cows together. First, they pushed the head of the cow in the car and then the back of the cow.
The arrested are Jahangir Alam, 45, son of Renu Miah of Makimabad Mallick Bari in Hajiganj, Shakib, 20, son of Jahangir Alam of Mallick Bari in the same area, Sajib, 26, son of Montu Miah of Chandina Surikhola area of Comilla and Sharif, son of Haran of South Gabua(28).
They are controlled by Liton Group, Jahangir Group and Khalil Group.
