Corona outbreak in Chandpur rises to 277: Death toll is 23.A medical technologist at Chandpur Government General Hospital has been infected by Corona. He was in charge of collecting Corona samples.
Only his report came from Dhaka till 5:00 pm on Monday, June 07. However, he was informed on his mobile phone two days ago from Dhaka that he was positive.
Now the number of patients affected by corona is 277. The death toll stood at 23. Mosharraf Hossain of Gunarajdi area of the city who died on Sunday has been included in the list of dead on Monday.
According to the Chandpur Civil Surgeon’s Office, 1 sample test report has been received in the district till Monday afternoon. That is positive.
According to sources, the current upazila-wise statistics of 277 people affected by corona in Chandpur district are: 137 in Chandpur Sadar, 44 in Faridganj, 22 in Hajiganj, 20 in Matlab South, 19 in Shahrasti, 16 in Kachua, 13 in Matlab North and 6 in Haimchar. Out of 137 people in Sadar upazila, 126 are in Chandpur town. The remaining 11 are 4 in Rampur Union, 3 in Laxmipur, 2 in Maishadi and 2 in Chandra.
Besides, the upazila-wise statistics of 23 deaths in the district are: 8 in Chandpur Sadar, 4 in Kachua, 4 in Faridganj, 4 in Hajiganj, 2 in Matlab North and 1 in Shahrasti.
