The number of corona patients in Chandpur increased to 1853. 8 more corona were identified in Chandpur on Sunday. Among them 6 are from Chandpur Sadar and 2 from Hajiganj. On the same day, 13 people in the district were released from corona and recovered. Of these, 6 from Chandpur Sadar, 3 from Matlab South and 4 from Matlab North have recovered.
With this, the number of people affected by corona in the district has increased to 1853 people. The death toll was 75.
This information has been informed by the Civil Surgeon’s Office. According to the source, 15 reports came on Sunday, August 02. Of these, 8 reports are not positive. The remaining 7 reports are not negative.
The current upazila-wise statistics of 1853 people affected by corona in Chandpur district are: 729 in Chandpur Sadar, 210 in Faridganj, 199 in Matlab South, 185 in Shahrasti, 181 in Hajiganj, 144 in Matlab North, 127 in Haimchar and 78 in Kachua.
The upazila-wise statistics of 75 deaths in the district are as follows: 21 in Chandpur Sadar, 17 in Hajiganj, 10 in Faridganj, 10 in Matlab North, 7 in Shahrasti, 6 in Kachua, 3 in Matlab South and 1 in Haimchar.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Sakhawat Ullah added that the total number of samples collected till Sunday was 6753. There were 6719 reports received. 34 reports awaiting. He added that out of 1853 affected people in the district, 1170 have already recovered. 608 people are under treatment.
So far, 627 patients have been admitted in isolation. Of these, 602 have already received clearance. At present the number of patients in isolation is 25. Besides, the total number of people in the home quarantine in the district is 10,673. Of these, 7955 people got clearance. At present there are 2718 people in home quarantine.
