There Should Be Case Because of Cutting Tree

Food Minister,’There should be case because of Cutting Tree.Even if some one cut trees , there should be a case under section 302′.

At the annual botanical conference at Jahangirnagar University, food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumdar said, ‘If a tree is cut down by someone, there should be a case under section 302.If this is not done, it will not be possible to protect the environment in any way’.

He made the remarks at the annual botanical conference organized by the Bangladesh Botanical Society at Jahangirnagar University seminar hall on January 18 at Jahangirnagar University.

Professor Farzana Islam, Vice-Chancellor of the university’s special guest said, ‘The important contribution of nature is the plant. The relationship of survival with the spread of these natural resources is closely linked. Many valuable natural resources are being lost or extinct to meet the needs of the growing population and unplanned urbanization. We need to be more aware of this’.

The special guest at the inaugural event was former Chairman of the Public Works Commission Professor ZN Tahmida Begum, Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Professor Amir Hossain and Vice-Chancellor (Education) Professor Nurul Alam.

The main theme of the day-long program was ‘Novel Approach and Resent Development in Positive Science’. Among the various programs of the conference were poster sessions, posnary sessions, scientific sessions, business sessions and cultural events.
