In Chandpur businessman arrested for disobeying the lockdown

In Chandpur businessman arrested for disobeying the lockdown. The government has announced six days of severe lockdown and a number of restrictions across the country as the prevalence of corona has risen sharply. Upazila Nirbahi Officer and First Class Executive Magistrate Fahmida Haque conducted the raid at Matlab Bazar around 11am on the second day of the lockdown.

On the second day of the lockdown authorities conducted a mobile court fined 6,800 taka and arrested 6 people in Matlab South Upazila Sadar’s Matlab Bazar for not obeying hygiene rules.

The detainees were released later in the afternoon.

Upazila Senatorial Inspector Gazi Khorshed Alam, SI Awal of Matlab South Police Station and allied forces were present among others during the operation.
