District administration program on National Mourning Day in Chandpur

August 15 is National Mourning Day. The 46th martyrdom anniversary of the great architect of independence, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. On this day in 1975, the defeated assassins of 1971 brutally killed 17 members of his family.

The Bengali nation has been observing this day as a day of national mourning. A preparatory meeting of the district administration was held in Chandpur to celebrate the day with due dignity.

The matter was known at a meeting held on August 1. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Anjana Khan Majlish.

On the morning of 15 August, the national flag was hoisted at half-mast in all government, private and autonomous institutions, educational institutions and business establishments.

District Shilpakala Academy, Islamic Foundation and Shishu Academy will organize cultural competitions.

The meeting requested all to follow the national program in compliance with the hygiene rules.

On the occasion of National Mourning Day, on the initiative of Islamic Foundation, it has been directed to organize Quran recitation, Hamd-Nat and special prayers and munajat.
