Another killed in election violence in Chandpur

Another died due to electoral violence in Chandpur. While undergoing treatment in Algi North Union of Haimchar Upazila in Chandpur. He died at Chandpur Sadar Hospital on Friday, January 7 in the morning.

His name is Md. Mizan Ghazi (55). Two people were killed in the election violence in Haimchar.

It is learned that Mizan Gazi was seriously injured in a clash between the supporters of two member candidates at the Jamilia Mahila Dakhil Madrasa Center at Algi North Union, Haimchar Upazila, in the fifth phase of UP elections.

He later died today while undergoing treatment.

Former UP members Babul Mia and Kalu Gazi said there was a clash between supporters of the two-member candidates outside the center on polling day. Mizan Gazi was injured. He was later shifted to Chandpur Sadar Hospital for treatment.

Haimchar Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahbubur Rahman Mollah said several people were injured in the election clash in Haimchar. Mizan Gazi was sent to Chandpur Government General Hospital for treatment. There he died while undergoing treatment.

No one has yet lodged a complaint with the police on behalf of the family. The body has been sent to the morgue for autopsy.
