Businesses burnt to ashes in a fire in Kachua

Five businesses have been burnt to ashes in a devastating fire at Kachua’s Sachar Bazar in Chandpur.

The fire broke out in Sachar South Bazaar on Friday morning. The affected traders claimed that more than half a crore taka including cash and goods were damaged.

The affected shops are Akbar Motors, Saidul Islam’s rice warehouse, Bismillah Medical Hall of Abdul Halim, Ripon’s furniture shop and Advocate Jasim Uddin Pradhan’s chamber.

The affected traders lost their goods and capital and broke down in tears.

UP Chairman Monir Hossain said that the incident of fire was very sad. Financial assistance will provide to each victim.

Minnat Ali Talukder Minu, president of Sachar Union Awami League, Salauddin Bhuiyan Hira, president of Sachar Bazar Committee, Selim Kabir, secretary and Zakir Talukder, president of Banik Samiti visited the spot.

Kachua Fire Service Sub Station Officer Yusuf Ali said that after receiving the news, a unit with the help of the locals tried to control the fire for about an hour and a half. It seemed the fire started from the electrical circuit.
