Five prominent women receive Rokeya Medal

This year,five prominent women personalities have been nominated for the ‘Begum Rokeya Medal’.The Ministry of Women and Children said in a press release on Sunday.

According to the notice,”Selina Khalek is receiving this year’s medal for women’s awakening through education,rights,socio-economic development,literature and culture.

Shamsunnahar,Principal in Women’s Education,is receiving the Medal for the Rights of Women,Socio-economic development for women.Apart from this,the papri Basu received the medal for women’s rights and Begum Akhtar Jahan contribute to the socio-economic development of women.

The medal-winning woman personality or her family representatives will take the’Begum Rokeya Medal 2019′ from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium on Monday.
