6 cases under Food Security Act in Hajiganj.A case has been filed against 6 organizations under different sections of Food Security Act 2013 in Hajiganj, Chandpur.
Hajiganj Upazila Sanitary Officer and Safe Food Inspector Shamsul Islam Ramiz filed the seven cases in the Chandpur Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court this year.
The companies involved in the case are Mojib Store and Gautam Store in Raichon Bazar of Barakul East Union No. 6 of the upazila, Mir Rahman Bakery in Balakhal Bazar in the municipal area, Dulal Store in Chengatali Bazar in Dwadashgram Urian, Sayed Super Sorp in Bakila Bazar and Alamgir Store.
Jasim Uddin, the officer-in-charge, said the cases were filed as most of the time these organizations did not have food, prohibited dyes and chemicals, and environmentally friendly food.
In addition, the sanitary officers in charge of the Safe Food Security Act have continued regular monitoring in the small and big markets of the upazila.
In this regard, Hajiganj Upazila Sanitary Officer and Safe Food Inspector Shamsul Islam Ramiz said, “In future we will be given police force, then such operations will continue regularly under the Food Security Act.”
