Prime Minister Inaugurated SME Fair

Prime Minister inaugurated the SME fair.Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the eighth national SME product fair. He inaugurated the fair at the Agriculturalists’ Institution Auditorium in the capital at 11:00 am on Wednesday.

The Small and Medium Industries (SME) Foundation has organized a fair under the Ministry of Industry. The fair will run till March 12 at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center.

The Mayor’s organizing authority said the fair will be held every day from 10 am to 8 pm. There will be no entry price to the fair. In this, 296 entrepreneurs from across the country will showcase their products in 309 stalls. Among the entrepreneurs, there are 195 women entrepreneurs and 101 male entrepreneurs.

Jute products produced in the country, food and agricultural processed products, leather goods, electrical and electronics materials, light engineering products, IT products, plastics and synthetic products, handicrafts, designs and fashionwear will be displayed and sold at various fairs. No foreign goods will be displayed or sold at the fair.

Five seminars will be organized at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center on the occasion of the fair.

Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmood Humayun said in the fiscal year 2018-19, the order of sale of goods worth about Tk. 9 crore and 16 lac , purchase of various products of Tk.6 crore and 44 lac.
