The number of corona cases in Chandpur has exceeded 5,000. So far 5 thousand 9 people have been infected with corona in the district. At present, about 15 percent of the sample test reports in the district are coming positive.

According to the Civil Surgeon’s Office, on Wednesday, June 16, after examining the samples of 94 people, the reports of 19 people came back positive. Among the new victims are 7 in Chandpur Sadar Upazila, 4 in Faridganj, 2 in Matlab South, 4 in Shahrasti, 1 in Hajiganj and 1 in Laxmipur.

According to the Civil Surgeon’s Office, so far samples have been collected from 30,619 people in the district and reports have been received from 30,528 people. Of these, 4,971 are positive and 25,557 are negative. Among the victims, 253 are undergoing treatment. Of them, 16 are in hospital isolation and 237 are in home isolation.
Dr. Civil Surgeon Sakhawat Ullah said the corona infection rate in Chandpur is now around 15 percent. We think less risk if it is 10 percent or less than 10 percent and more risk if it is above 10 percent. So everyone has to follow the hygiene rules to prevent corona infection. You must wear a mask when you go out.
He said 9,600 doses of Chinese vaccine have been allocated in Chandpur. However, it is not known when this vaccine will come. The first and second doses will be given with this vaccine. 9,600 doses of the vaccine can be given to 4,800 people.
