Journalist Ikram Chowdhury is No More

Ikram Chowdhury, journalist in Chandpur, is no more.Ikram Chowdhury, the Guru of journalism in Chandpur, is no more. He breathed his last at the General and Kidney Hospital at 4:00 am on Saturday,August 08. (Innanillahi… .. Raziun).

He left his wife, 1 son, 1 daughter, many relatives and numerous students, political colleagues and admirers.

Ikram Chowdhury was the President of Chandpur Press Club, Staff Reporter of Channel I, District Correspondent of Jago News and Editor and Publisher of Daily Chandpur Darphan.

It is known that at 11:00 pm on August 05, the physical condition suddenly deteriorated. He had severe shortness of breath and chest pain. He was rushed to Bellevue Hospital.

He was undergoing treatment at the ICU of Dhanmondi General and Kidney Hospital.

AHM Ahsan Ullah, general secretary of the press club, picked up journalist leader Ikram Chowdhury in an ambulance before he left for Dhaka. On behalf of the family, Ikram Chowdhury’s younger brother Sharif Chowdhury, former president of the Press Club, RTV staff reporter and Ikram Chowdhury’s son Abrar Chowdhury were with him at that time.

Journalist Ikram Chowdhury has been in the journalism profession for almost 3 decades. He was hundred percent professional journalist has worked with professionalism all his life. He did nothing for himself. He left government service and dedicated his life to the great profession of journalism.

Chandpur Times publisher and editor Kazi Mohammad Ibrahim Jewel has expressed deep grief over the death of Chandpur Press Club President Ikram Chowdhury. He prayed for the forgiveness of the departed soul and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family members.
