At the top of the list is German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Also on the list are newly elected US Vice President Kamala Harris, Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, pharmaceutical company Biocon founder Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw and technology company chief executive officer (CEO) Roshni Nadar Malhotra.
The 17th list includes women from 30 countries. It has 10 heads of state and 38 chief executive officers.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is ranked 39th in the magazine’s list this year. According to Forbes, she has been the Prime Minister of Bangladesh for the longest time in history. Sheikh Hasina is in charge of the Prime Minister for the fourth time and for the third time in a row. Her party, the Bangladesh Awami League, won 288 of the 300 seats in the last parliamentary elections.
According to the Forbes report, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has made significant contributions to food security, education and healthcare.
