Three-way collision in Natore, killed 2

Two people have been killed in a three-way collision between a bus, a truck and a covered van in Takia area of ​​Natore Sadar upazila.

Five people were injured in the accident.

Natore Fire Service and Civil Defense Senior Station Officer Akhter Hamid Khan said a truck loaded with timber collided head-on with a night coach heading from Dhaka to Rajshahi on the Natore-Rajshahi highway at around 1.30 am on Wednesday.

At the same time a mini covered van lost control and pushed the bus. The truck driver and timber trader Asadul Haque was killed on the spot. Abu Musa’s house is in Jhenaidah and Asadul Haq is a resident of Kushtia.

Upon receiving the news, the police and fire service personnel went and rescued the victims and took them to Natore Hospital.

The bus and covered van involved in the accident were evacuated from the spot at night.
