All types of passenger launches are closed for one day.The shipping ministry has directed the Dhaka North and South City Corporation to hold off for 24 hours on the eve of the election. Navigation will be closed from (31 january) 12 am to (February 1),12 am the day before the vote.

Assistant Secretary of the Ministry of Shipping on Wednesday. Alauddin signed the order. The shipping ministry issued the order in response to an Election Commission (EC) petition.

The order said that voting for the Dhaka North and South City Corporation elections will be held on February 1. Launch and run all types of engine-powered vessels (except engine-powered small boats or people, except for small boats used for movement of voters) from (31 january) 12am to 12 am February 1 before the polling day . For this, the power was given to the Deputy Commissioner, Dhaka / concerned authorities.
