There Is No Stable House In Some Post Office At Chandpur

In Chandpur district, there is no stable house in more or less 150 post office.There are 98 post offices under Chandpur office, 101 post office under Hajiganj. There are no more than one and a half hundred post offices in Chandpur district. The activities are underway in housing, shops and business establishments. Postmasters have been protesting for a long time, demanding 10-point demand for infrastructure development and salaries. There are 199 post offices in the district.

For example, under the Hajiganj office, 16 post offices are operated through the Hajiganj branch, 13 through the Kalkhala branch and 13 post office through Kachua branch. Most of those post offices do not have specific offices. Post masters have been conducting activities in their home, business establishments, ferries, government risky buildings.

Raghunathpur Bazar, between Kachua-Hajiganj upazila, has been found that the post office has been inactive for a long time about 10 years more or less . However, there is a postmaster, postman and runner.

Under Raghunathpur post office, Kadla, Debipur, Barigaon, Muradpur, Noordda of Kachua Upazila, Teguria, Shashankholla, Ayma, Hajiganj Upazila, Tarapala, Ferozpur, Satbariya, Nishchintapur, and Mahbhaturpur are functioning.

The Hajiganj branch is under Tongiarpar, Boliya Bazar, Dhadda, Patanish, Kalchon, Suhilpur, Aliganj, Uyaruk, Ahmedpur, Barakul, Palishhara, Kashimpur, Sendra, Ghania, Mantla, Chowdhury Bazar.

In this regard, Manik Hossain Pradhan, chairman of Kalachon North Union Council, told the Chandpur Times that the building could not be constructed because there was no permanent property for the post office. Raghunathpur Post Office is the post office of the British period. This post office needs to be re-activated.

Regarding the absence of houses in rural post offices, the former central president of the Primary Teachers Association, Sardar Abul Bashar, told the Chandpur Times that there was no post office. Like Raghunathpur, most of the post offices in the district do not have houses. In order to manage the digital activities of digital post offices, it is very important to develop the infrastructure.

Abdul Wadood, the postmaster in charge of Kachua branch, told the Chandpur Times that locals had to take a role in the development of post offices.

Post Master Kefayet Ullah and Assistant Officer Khorshed Alam of the Hajiganj office said, “There is a lot of work being done to supply the papers of the government examiners especially. There are also postal savings and money transactions. However, various branch post offices need infrastructure development. Then the service of the people will increase.

President of Bangladesh Postal ED Employees Union Chandpur District Branch A Hanif Master and General Secretary Tajul Islam told the Chandpur Times, “For a long time, we have been agitating for the promotion of rural postal system besides demanding salary increase and festival allowance.” In this regard, we have issued a memorandum demanding ten points along with Minister of Bangladesh Postal and Telecommunications Ministry Mostafa Jabbar.
