What Is The Reason Behind Price Hike Of Rice!

What is the reason behind price hike of rice! Nobody knows.Rice prices have been rising in the market for several days. Although the price of slender rice is higher than the price of coarse rice does not go away. The price of all kinds of coarse rice has also increased at this time. Government policy makers, however, do not want to accept this. They claim that although the price of chicken rice has increased due to demand, the price of coarse rice has not increased. But market data is the opposite. All the rice prices have risen in the market recently. This information has been reported in the capital market.

It is learned that in the capital markets, the price of Nazirshail and Miniket rice, known as chicken rice, is now being sold at a price of Rs. Medium quality rice called pijam and lata is being sold at a price of Rs. Both types of rice were sold last week for a paltry Rs 5-8 per kg, the state-owned marketing company Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) said.

Businessmen are blaming each other for wanting to know why rice prices are rising even after having enough reserves. Both wholesale and retail traders in the market complain that the mill owners have increased the prices of all kinds of rice in order to earn extra profit by charging. Again the mill owners say they did not raise any kind of rice. Wholesale and retail traders have increased the price they are raising. And no matter what the government refuses, for whatever reason, consumers have to buy all kinds of rice at high prices.
Beneficiary traders are also trying to figure out a reason for the rise in rice prices. Their excuse is that the government’s interest in buying rice has been responsible for the recent rise in rice prices. They claim that Aman’s season is finally over. Boro crop will rise in front. The food department has increased the food department till March 5, though the period of procurement of Aman paddy and rice to increase the internal reserves of the government’s food ministry has increased. This created increased demand in the market. And because of this, the price of both fat and fat rice has increased in the market.
Asked about the rice trader in Jaipurhat, Laik Ali said, “We have not raised any rice prices in the encounter. If the price of rice goes up, then the wholesalers and retailers have increased it. Beyond this, rice prices may rise for various reasons, including extortion. The matter needs to be monitored by the officials of the government concerned. However, the government has extended the purchase time of Aman paddy and rice at the end of Aman for another 6 days. Due to this, paddy and rice have had a major impact on the muck. Because of this, rice prices may rise.”

Meanwhile, Nizam Uddin, general secretary of the Babu Bazar-Badamtali Rice Arteadar Association in the capital, said that prices could rise at retail level in the capital markets. There is no reason to raise prices at the wholesale level. Because the supply of rice is normal in the market right now. There is no shortage of rice anywhere. No opportunity was created to create any new demand.

And Khorashed Alam, leader of the Bangladesh Rice Call Owners Association, said there is enough rice in the country. Therefore, there is no reason for the price to rise. However, demand is responsible for the rise in prices of chicken rice. Because the demand for chicken rice is increasing everywhere in the country. Most people are attracted to chicken rice as
their purchasing power has increased. Rice prices may rise as demand increases.

Asked about this, Secretary of the Ministry of Food said. Mozammat Nazmanara Khanum said the price of fat rice did not rise. However, he argued, the price of chicken rice could rise. Because people do not want to eat fat rice now. They are buying chicken rice. Because of this, the demand for rice is increasing. However, the demand for rice is less in the market. Farmers are mostly interested in producing coarse rice. Although he could not cite any statistical data on how many people in the country are interested in eating chicken instead of fat rice.

Aslam Mia, of Kolar Doyania village of Nazirpur upazila of Pirojpur district was contacted to inquire about the farmers’ interest in rice cultivation. He said the tendency to cultivate chicken is still low in our country. Although Aus Amon cultivated earlier, most farmers now cultivate paddy of Uffishi (high yielding) varieties. Most of which is coarse rice paddy.

Meanwhile, retail trader Mozammel Haque of Konapara market in the capital said that the price of coarse rice has increased in combination with the price of chicken rice without. As the price of chicken rice has risen, traders are also selling thick rice at high prices. We sell at a higher price because we buy at higher prices. At the retail level, no one raised the price of rice. Prices have risen in the mill, and at the wholesale level.

Talking to all the parties, one thing is clear – even though the prices of all kinds of rice in the market are increasing, neither side of the traders is willing to take responsibility, the Food Ministry is ignoring the matter; The common people are the victims of it all day.
