The Prime Minister urged the recognition of the freelancing profession.Prime Minister asked to find a way to give social and institutional recognition to freelancers.The Prime Minister gave these instructions at a meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Tuesday. The Prime Minister and ECNEC Chairperson Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting in a virtual manner from Gana Bhaban.
The Prime Minister has given good news for those who have developed themselves as freelance professionals through graphics, web design, app development, smartphone app, web development. In the briefing, the planning minister said that during the meeting, the prime minister said that the profession of freelancers would be recognized.
Approving the project to set up an IT training and incubation store at the ECNEC meeting, the Prime Minister said who do freelancing can earn much more than clerks or other government employees. But they are not preferred in case of marriage. Parents are not interested in marrying girls to freelancers. Rather, those clerks get more priority. For this, we have to think about what kind of social or state recognition can be given to the freelancers.
The planning minister said Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology Division, Bangladesh has been given the responsibility to find a way out of what can be done to recognize freelancers as a profession.
