RAB requested not to share anything without understanding in Social Media.RAB has requested not to share anything or likes anything or any rumors or terrorist posts through social media.
Lieutenant Colonel Sarwar-Bin-Kashem, director of the RAB’s Legal and Media Wing, said this in a video message Thursday evening.
Sarwar-bin-Kashem said, ‘Recently, we have seen rumors circulating on Facebook and other social media that some of the worst places are spreading rumors.
Creating panic and suspicion among the people. We have arrested 10 people from different districts who have made such rumors and terror. More than half a hundred people are under surveillance.’
“You do not like or share without verifying the authenticity of any post,” he said to social media users.
About RAB’s initiative to verify the rumors, he said that RAB had recently set up a ‘RAB Verification Cell’.
If you would like to verify any information on Facebook, please send us the link. We can verify it. Recently we received three such posts that were completely rumored. One of them is ‘dead body, dead person lying on the streets of Dhaka.’ After verifying this information we have uploaded it to the Verification Cell. We are helping the general public.
