First COVID-19 patient identified in Chandpur District

The first coronavirus infection (COVID-19) patient has been identified at north Matlab upzila in the Chandpur district. Keeping the Corona free could no longer be possible for some unconscious people in Narayanganj district bordering the district.

The medical officer of the Upazila Health Complex, Dr. Mehedi Hasan, told the Chandpur Times on April 9 at around 10:30 pm.

Corona sufferer (name not disclosed) came from Narayanganj on 6 April at his mother-in-law’s house in Haripur village of Kolkanda Union in North Upazila with fever. Cold, cough. Later, local people, suspected of having coronary artery disease, took her to the Matlab North Upazila health complex on April 7. The doctors collected his samples and sent them to Dhaka.

The young man’s home in Rangpur, 32 years old, has been afflicted with coronas. He worked in a private factory in the port of Narayanganj. He returned to his father-in-law’s house from Narayanganj on 5 April at Hanirpara, north of Matlab. His father-in-law’s name (not released).

Upazila health officer said. Nusrat Hahan Methan told the Chandpur Times that the man was actually collected on April 5 at the health complex with coronary symptoms. Later on April 9, the result showed the presence of the Coronavirus in his body. An ambulance with police was sent to his father-in-law’s house. He will be kept at the Isolation Center adjacent to the Upazila Health Complex.

Chandpur civil surgeon said. Md. Sakhawat Ullah confirmed the matter on Thursday night. Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner declared a lockdown in Chandpur district on the day of the report.
