High Court Ordered To Upgrade Village Police

The High Court has directed to upgrade the village police in grade 19 and 20 as per government pay scales.A bench comprising Justice Mohammad Ashraful Kamal and Justice Raziq Al Jalil passed the order.The court issued the order on Tuesday, December 17 in response to a writ petition.

The order has been called for effect from June 2011.High Court has directed to report all concerned matter by March 2020.

Earlier on Sunday,December 15,court directed to grant the the village police status to 4th class employee to the government and to include it on the national pay scale.

On that day,Humayun Kabir Pallab, a lawyer, said as a result of the order 47,000 village police are well off.
